Premature Ejaculation

This story has all this great build up to what you think is going to be this hot explosive connection between Sin and Reed and then you are just totally let down by the less than satisfying ending. While I loved the idea of the story line...Sinclair 'Sin' is helping out her best 'gay' guy friend by posing as his girlfriend at his parents anniversary party. Then she meets the irresistible but unavailable older brother, Reed, and even though she's suppose to be dating the brother and Reed has a fiancee, sparks start flying. Lots of sexual tension and stolen moments that heat up the situation and lots of family drama to boot. All of this I loved. Then there's the whole stalker element, which I could take or leave. My biggest complaint about this story is it has all this build up and then it just fizzles and dies, and you are left feeling like "That's it! That's how the story ends. That is NOT a satisfying ending AT ALL!" You have these two great characters that you so want to be together and I just want to rewrite the ending of this book. And I want to kill off the stalker in a really gruesome and terrible way.

This Book is a Mess!

This is book is messy hodgepodge of cliches. There is the gorgeous working class adopted heroine, the too-hot-to-resist rich hero who just happens to be the brother of our heroine's gay friend, the same gay friend who is masquerading as her fiance to avoid coming out to his parents, our hero's fiance who not only does cocaine but cheats on him with our hero's stepfather--but wait, there's more! Now throw in a stalker who is obsessed with our heroine and kidnaps her on the day of anniversary party, some bad editing (The heroine is a hair stylist. The author should be able to decide on a hair color for our hero!), and some tepid sex scenes, and what do you get? A TOTAL WASTE OF TIME!!! It is indeed ironic that the next book in this series is entitled, "Tangled Mess".

Not my thing.

I got this book because it was listed under "Romance." I found nothing romantic about everyone having sex or "making out" being either married or engaged to someone else. I find that trashy. I also hated Sinclair, she was the stereotypical pretty girl that doesn't know she's pretty, she is easily bullied, kind of a wuss and pushover, then rescues herself from the predictable trouble she winds up in? Don't think so, that was bordering on ridiculous. On top of everything else, she gets her HEA with the guy she thought got frisky with her then went and banged some other chick. She clams up and avoids him for a month, dodges his phone calls, doesn't communicate, never asks him if it happened just assumes he's untrustworthy. Why is this character being pursued at all... by anyone? And the "Do you trust me?" "I don't know" "Well you can" "Okay," conversation was just plain stupid to me. I finished the book hoping it would get better, but wound up disappointed all the way through, this isn't to say that other people won't like it. It simply isn't what I prefer to read.
